Journals..

ok..after all,i think writing some journals in blog is not so bad.but i might not get to update it everyday..yeah yeah..busy.again.
i dont really have any difficulties during completing these tasks..because its kind of just type whatever you understand about the given topic.its good though,to be able to write what you want,to express it here without anyone bothering to give comment.haha


also,i learnt something that,from writing journals,it can improve my English with the help of some searching for the grammar etc rather than facebooking all day.:P

Movie time.

lately,i dont really have time to go for the movies..yeah.busy with the assignments..><
but i'll try to recall one of my favourite movie.


hmm.i think i'll choose 'the secret of moonacre'.which is a fantasy/epic movie with a good storyline.it is about a young princess in a 'fairy tale world' that lost her father at the age of 13.


the summary is like this:


When 13 year old Maria Merryweather's father dies, leaving her orphaned and homeless, she is forced to leave her luxurious London life to go and live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she didn't know she had, at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Soon Maria finds herself in a crumbling moonlit world torn apart by the hatred of an ancient feud with the dark and sinister De Noir family. Maria discovers that she is the last Moon Princess and, guided by an unlikely mix of allies, she must overcome her family's pride in order to unearth the secrets of the past before the 5000th moon rises and Moonacre disappears into the sea forever.

overall,i think this movie is good,quite relaxing and i enjoyed it..:D

My favourite story book.

ahhh..i still remember that book that i've read back to 3 years ago when i was still in unitar taking my foundation.the title is 'the black book of secrets' by F.E Higgins.it looks like that..


so,the story is about a boy,Ludlow Fitch that is living a horrible life before he met with Joe Zabbidou,which a bit mystic man because he pawn the guilty secrets of his customers.i found that the story line is cool because i can finish reading it in 2 days only.haha.futhermore,i kinda like the using of latin phrases inside the story,where it was such a short phrase but deep in meaning.


mm..heres the summary of the story.:D

When Ludlow Fitch's parents cruelly betray him, he steals away on the back of a carriage and leaves behind the stinking City. He arrives in the dead of night at a remote village, where he crosses paths with the tall and limping figure of Joe Zabbidou - a pawnbroker with a difference. For Joe trades secrets, not goods, for cash.

Employed as Joe's assistant, Ludlow records the villagers' fiendish confessions in an ancient leather-bound volume: The Black Book of Secrets. There's the gravedigger who has been resurrecting bodies; the butcher who made a mouse-meat pie for his bullying father, with fatal consequences; the wizened bookseller who went to murderous lengths to get her hands on a priceless tome.

Ludlow longs to trust his mysterious master, but he senses Joe has much to hide. But then Ludlow Fitch has his own, very dark, secrets..

although this book just like a little kiddo novel,but once you've read it only one word can be in your mind;amazing.hahaha

so thats all,because i dont really remember the story already.might gonna dig it later out of the boxes to re-read.:)

The common mistakes.

hm.im gonna write about some common mistakes i always do in writing.for me English is not that difficult if youre a heavy book reader or movies addict.after all its a universal language that most of the population on this earth can understand.

the only problem for me is when i need to do the writing assignment,as sometimes im not really having mood or ideas about what to write for the given topics.this is due to lack of sleep as i am a student of built environment where we dont always have enough sleep until we are like walking zombies at college.haha.joking.but thats the reality,not much of the other students know what we are really doing because we may smile and haha hihi at the cafe but inside,we are trying to cope with the stress to design,draw the plans and etc.

ok ok back to the topic,for me,to improve my English is not so hard i think.because i love to read novels and those architecture's history books.but still,theres a flaw because its not my mother tongue language and i always try to improve it to be more better.

so theres no easy way to learn,it just need some hard work and patience,since nobody is perfect.:D

Water Pollution.

water,as we know is the most important sources of life.without water no human can survive.we need water in our everyday life,for farming,cooking,washing clothes and etc.

but nowadays,our water is getting polluted,which if we didnt take any efforts to stop it will do more harm to us.so the sources of the pollution must be known.as we know,our country depends heavily fresh water from our river stream,but sadly they are polluted with organic pollution,agricultural pollution,toxic waste and thermal pollution.

for example,organic pollution is becoming more pressing on our environment,because of the growing population and to understand it is easy.the more people in one area ,the more waste they gonna produce.the best example is a big city,where there are so many people until the sewage plants and environment cant take care all of the waste properly.it can be disgusting sometimes. 

so we must think a way to preserve our environment and water for our future generations,because if we didnt take some awareness about it,we may destroy our country and our own life.

Writing Process.

there are 5 steps of the writing process which i think is important for writing a good paragraph.


step 1. we must decide the topic to write and consider who will read it (can be a friends or a lecturer).after that,do some brainstorming for ideas about the topic and also dont forget to do some research.


step 2. draft the information in our own words,which can make us understand more about the topic,and try to write sentences even if they are still not perfect.read it and ask your friends for their opinions.


step 3. revise the paragraph.think of what others said about it.we also can add or take out parts of the sentences at this stage to make it better.


step 4. proofreading;to make sure all the sentences are complete and check for correct spelling,and change the words that are not used properly.it will be better if we can have someone to check it.


step 5.publishing;we can read our writing aloud to our friends in a group or send it to your lecturer.

Sentence Structure - Simple,Compound,Complex,compound-Complex Sentence

Here's my simple sentences for each of it..

Simple:

• I like to read novels.
• Alex and Peter play chess every afternoon.

Compound:

• Alex played computer games, so Peter went for a walk.
• Alex played computer games, for Peter went for a walk.

Complex:

• After they finished studying, Alex and Peter went to the movies.
• Alex and Peter went to the movies after they finished studying.

Compound-Complex:

• I stayed up last night so im tired today.
• If you hurry,we might get to college on time.

what is love to me.

okay..so i've been wondering for all night just to figure out what is love,at least for me.haha

hmm.i think love cannot be describe with words alone,it has to be shown,felt and shared among us.it doesnt matter what your love-hate relationship status,because love had been bond since we were born.where our parents care for us,and the love among siblings that will last forever.

i think love is universal,its a language that every single creature understand,even with the animals.and it can bring happiness and a lot of smile.

im gonna make it simple,after all it is that what makes us human, and makes life worth living.
